The Campaign did not go boating or water skiing. Instead the campaign went to the very end of Smith Springs Road for an old fashion door to door campaign, which has become a staple of this campaign. At this location a very small corner of the New Antioch High School Precinct lies within Tennessee House District 53.

In the New Antioch High School Precinct voters are looking for a chance to replace Janis Sontany. Voters in the New Antioch High School Precinct want government to stop minding their own business. The Smith Springs Precinct contributed the largest vote count in the 2008 election for the Tennessee House District 53 race. This means that is is a significant precinct for in any campaign strategy that seeks victory in the 2010 election. July 24, 2010 marked the first time the Daniel Lewis for Tennessee House 53 campaign campaigned in the Smith Springs Precinct. However, the battle for the Tennessee House 53 seat is already in full swing in the Smith Springs Precinct.

The Daniel Lewis for Tennessee House District 53 campaign was warmly received in the Smith Springs Precinct, continuing a trend of positive reactions to the campaign that has been observed in other precincts. The fact that the incumbent, Janis Sontany, received over 2,000 votes in the Smith Springs Precinct makes it even more significant. Voters in District 53 are ready for a Libertarian candidate. They are ready to be represented in the General Assembly by a Libertarian. All we must do is let the voters of District 53 know that they have a Libertarian choice this year. This is a race that can be won. This race is the front line of the fight for more freedom and less government.
